My Attorney filed my I-140 @ NSC and I-140 reciept date is DEC'21'2006; I see on my I-140 case LUD is Jan'8'2007; does this means my case also was approved on Jan'8'2007?; after that no LUD on my case.
Any input on this would be great help!

I also see a LUD 11/25 on my both approved I140's EB2/EB3. I have only used EB2 to file 485, so my guess is its a system wide LUD, some maintenance program running.

Talk to employer and tell him to your wages immediately. You shouldn't care about client or any one else. If you left the company then he should pay you withing 15 days. If he says he will pay after two months 3 months then he will just changed his address and you wont be able to track him down.
So talk to him and tell him if you dont receive a check in 1 week you will file a complaint in DOL wages and service division and also file a lawsuit in court too.

I am new and just discovered this thread, regarding the Talent Bill that if passed, among other benefits will let H-4s work. Anyone knows who is promoting it and who we can to make sure it is considered and debated? Thanks.

I disagree. When what you are requesting is what they should have followed in the first place, why do you back out? Damn, it seems like they screw up and we cover for their screw ups. Ask them to correct their mistake and give your 11/04 PD. If your lawyer won't, then hire another capable one..

if we shift to company B using H1 transfer should the new job on H1 be same/similar to GC job?

I would say don't put too much emphasis on these kind of stories, if the CIR bill is not going to be worked on then why did the senator schedule this meeting ? just for fun ?!

It means you will be able to get your EAD in a few weeks, based on your ability to file for I-485. The real thing ... well it can take anywhere between 8-9 months to more than 3 years, depending on how quickly FBI completes your name check and how slow or fast the USCIS service center is.
Assuming I filed for I-485 before the retrogression mess.

I am a 2nd july ead filer and my ead expires in month of october 08 i have heard that we have to file 4 months before ,do i have to file 4 months before 2nd july or 4 months before expiry of my 1st EAd which is october 08.
please advice

120 days (maximum) from the date of expiry of your EAD. The same applies for AP, if I am not wrong.

Company B can not apply based on EB1, They have to apply only in EB2 or EB3.
To Join company b you have to use
L1
- not possible.
H1

hi thank you once again.
my project is not that much long term project . after completing project again i have to go for " X " location only . In this recession time getting project in same place is very tough and then for every project we cant move our whole family but we single persons can adjust and stay with some friends in that project location.
I said i moved not we all. sorry for that i might have tell you clearly before . i thought if i write everything its looks like bigger matter. so for suggesting me some guys cant take that much time to read full thing. so i mentioned only important things. anyway i really appriciate your good efforts . thank you.

There is no other way about it....even if we don't have a vote now, we have a voice...that of a LEGAL immigrant (and a future Citizen!). Each one of you find out where the meeting is going to be, and make a point to attend and atleast ask one question- It has been said that America is a nation of laws and a nation of immigrants- so Congressman, while you're working against ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, what are you doing to help LEGAL IMMIGRANTS??? Wait until you see the report below from a Hill staffer of the Speaker's comments in a closed session of congressmen/women.
As I predicted to you in my email Monday morning, the terrible Senate bill has further bogged down this week as U.S. House leaders have become increasingly emboldened by you citizens' phone calls, faxes, office visits and attendance at town hall meetings.
Suddenly this week, Speaker of the House Hastert announced that he wouldn't be immediately appointing House negotiators to hammer out a compromise with Senators in a joint Conference Committee. Rather, he announced a series of public hearings to be held across the country over July and August to get public feedback on the provisions of the Senate bill.
Hahahahaha.
Maybe the 63 hidden provisions in the Senate mystery bill that our Rosemary Jenks uncovered and exposed at the National Press Club (but with very little media interest) will get proper vetting from the American people.
This is such terrible news for the Kennedy/McCain/Bush open-borders folks who had hoped to ram their bill into law without the public truly discovering what was in it.
Even better, Speaker Hastert announced principles that should undergird House action and they were all about enforcement and nothing about increasing legal immigration or guestworkers.
WHAT PERSUADED HASTERT TO DO THIS?
Rep. Hastert (R-IL) has always voted very well but has not been very helpful as a leader. He has been much too eager to please the White House when it asks for favors and to help out the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Nonetheless, he has often ended up helping block bad stuff in the House and was a big help in the end in passing the ban on drivers licenses for illegal aliens. But his behavior this week represents a whole new side of Hastert. And it is pretty apparent why he changed.
Check out this email from a Republican staffer to Rosemary describing the closed-door session Hastert had with Republican Members of the House.

You may already have heard this, but it was too good not to pass along. In GOP conference this morning, Hastert started talking about an event he went to with several hundred of his constituents. He went on and on about this was in Illinois, in the heartland of the country, Illinois wasn't a border state -- and every question but one from his constituents was about immigration.
He then said this proves it's a national issue and not just a border state issue and it is really important. (Hastert, our fearless leader, moonlights as Captian Obvious.)
Technically everything that goes on in conference is supposed to stay confidential but my boss was going on about it and how he thought the meeting with his constituents made a huge difference to Hastert.
I thought you'd find it encouraging that all the hard work your minions are doing about bugging the hell out of these guys at public events is working.
You're outgunned, outspent, and outlobbied -- but you're winning. I am now officially cautiously optimistic.

As the staffer knows, we have been pushing all of you to try to attend any meeting where your Members of Congress can be found so you can ask questions, hold a sign or just applaud other people who say what you believe about immigration.

Even I am a little surprised at how well things are working out at the moment. But I have no doubt that the only factor is the never-ending drum-beat of citizen complaint that Members are hearing.

Visa numbers can retrogress in the middle of a month and become unavailable without prior notice. If there is a mid-month retrogression, USCIS could elect to stop accepting adjustment applications. While this is unlikely to occur in July 2007, it becomes more and more possible as the fiscal year progresses.

So, it looks like it can retrogess anytime. However, I don't think there is anything we can do to avoid retrogession. Do the best you can and file as fast as you can. No point worrying!
Though the principal employment-based categories are current for July, future retrogression is possible later this fiscal year, particularly if demand for immigrant visas increases substantially. Visa numbers can retrogress in the middle of a month and become unavailable without prior notice. If there is a mid-month retrogression, USCIS could elect to stop accepting adjustment applications. While this is unlikely to occur in July 2007, it becomes more and more possible as the fiscal year progresses.

I was under the impression that there would be some talks about the discussed bills on floor this week.I see no signs of any debate or any discussion.I have some read some posts saying that nothing would happen this year. This really confuses me as I had & I think many of us had hopes that coming weeks would decide something.
I would appreciate if someone could give everyone very clear picture of what going on ?

You also might try a less busy background - the stripes are a little distracting. You could fuzz them with a wider aperture (a 50mm f/1.8 is cheap and good for portraits or when out shooting random subjects). Have you tried converting this one to B&W? Sometimes that's more pleasing with high contrast.
