Hi

USCIS mails are NOT forwarded.

When you update the USCIS about address change.You will get confirmation ( may take 30days ) that the address is changed to ur new address.

If the EAD is approved before confirmation the EAD will go to the old address and returned to USCIS.Then Again you need to ask them to resend.

Now a days Iam seeing may people loosing EAds in mail.Even I lost the EAd in the mail because of address change and it never reached new/old/USCIS. I had to apply for replacement card. ( I don't want to scare You).

May be you go to local USCIS office and check what address they have on file.

I have not heard of a single approval date of someone applying on June 1st!

According to the processing dates, they are all in RD of 06 sometime.

People HAVE been getting receipt numbers, but thats an entirely different kettle of fish.

Has the LC/PERM been approved based on EB2 is the question? IF yes, you should also try for it and ask your employer.

The new eb2 perm has been applied and pending.

By the way, where are the details on eb2 physician application procedure given in USCIS website? USCIS website mentions it and says, "Read more about this particular program", but there are no links to it. I searched and couldn't find anything related to that.

:confused: I have another question concerning EAD. I have a valid h1 visa stamped on my passport till June 2007. I have EAD and AP as well. On my return from India last month the inspector at the POE did not let me enter on my h1 and instead asked me to use my AP. He stamped my I 94 as entering on AP but he did not cancel my h1. Now what status I am on? H1 or AP? My EAD is expiring on 23rd Jan 2007 so if I am no longer on h1 then would I have to come out of job till I get another EAD? Won't this make me go out of status? Please advise.

Now working on H1b, 8th year
PD: Oct 2005
I 140: approved
I 485: pending
AP, EAD: approved

I want to change job to another employer.Can the new employer file an H1b for me based on my approved I 140. I prefer to be on H1b as traveling is easier and don't have to wait for the EAD, AP each year and the uncertainities invloved.

I would appreciate replies.

Yes, new employer can file H1B transfer, but I donno the rule for 8th year ext.
For AC21 you can always use H1B transfer or EAD.

I said that as the LCA results will be out in 9 months or less according to the current scenario which gives me time for filing the I-140 before July 2011. Shouldn't I be having a 3 yr extension then? The Talent services Manager at my office said so..

What I'd do is:

Ctrl+click the channel (loads selection)

then go to the layers, and select the layer you want to apply the selection, then press Alt+backspace to fill the selection.

Then ctrl+D to unload selection...

Here is s tricky situation :

8th Year H1 extension applied by current company. Still in process, should be approved in Nov 2006.

Can I transfer to a new company using this H1 ?


There is nothing tricky, it is plain and simple: you want to switch jobs?
You have to apply for a new H1. You absolutely cannot use your current H1 to work any other job.

Hi,

I am currently working on EAD, having invoked AC21 once in the past. My labor was filed in 2005 under EB3 (I was eligible for EB2, but my company filed it under EB3, as per their policy). I filed 485 during July 2007 fiasco and am currently working on EAD.

My job qualifies for EB1 now and few of my peers have got Green Card under EB1. Can I port my filing from EB3 to EB1? Would it be better to do it with current employer or with a new employer? Pl. advice.

If you I-140 is approved you can port the priority date of your old I-140 to the new EB-1 I-140. You might not need to go through this trouble if EB-1 is current.

"Copy of visa page of passport in color " is listed as one of the supporting docs for ead renewal.(in the IV thread on EAD self filing)

Do I need to send the copy of visa stamp even if my stamp has expired and I am working on EAD? (my I-797/I-94 expired too).

Can someone please answer this as I need to apply for ead renewal soon.

You can get a licence valid upto 6 moinths from the date of H1 receipt notice. You can go to Wayne Rt 23 MVC. I got it myself last year from there.
